Mayer Nudell, CSC, is an acknowledged authority on terrorism, crisis management, travel security, and related international political and national security affairs. A former U.S. diplomat, Mr. Nudell received two Group Meritorious Honor Awards from the U.S. Department of State. His last Foreign Service assignment was to the Office of Counterterrorism and Emergency Planning as Latin American and Middle Eastern specialist and liaison with the business, intelligence, and law enforcement communities. He has consulted to the U.S. Department of State, the Calgary Police Service and the Olympics Integrated Intelligence Unit prior to the 1988 Winter Olympics, and to U.S. and foreign corporations and international organizations. Other projects include coordination of security matters for the official opening of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and the Presidents Summit on the Future of America, along with security training and consultation to agencies of the Japanese government. Currently, he consults to businesses, government agencies, and other organizations on a variety of international security matters.

He has addressed many government, law enforcement, academic, professional and private organizations around the world, including conferences organized by the Simon Wiesenthal Center and the Society for American Military Engineers (where he was the keynote speaker in 2002), and he has appeared on radio and television as an expert commentator. His work has been published in numerous magazines, professional journals and books, and he has been referred to as one of the world's foremost experts on international terrorism. His co-authored books, The Handbook for Effective Emergency and Crisis Management and No One a Neutral: Political Hostage-Taking in the Modern World, are widely regarded as being among the best on their subjects. He also authored the texts and designed the course on Terrorism offered at the U.S. General Services Administration's Interagency Training Center.

Mayer Nudell is a Certified Security and Safety Consultant (issued by the International Institute of Security & Safety Management) and is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security (and past chairman of the National Capital Chapter's Terrorist Activities Subcommittee), the International Association of Chiefs of Police, and the International Institute for Security and Safety Management. He is a former chairman of the Public Safety and Human Relations Advisory Commission of the City of Falls Church, Virginia, a former member of the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan Police Reserve, and a retired reserve deputy sheriff with the Falls Church, Virginia, Sheriff's Office. He is a certified instructor of the California Community Colleges and an adjunct faculty member at Webster University. He is listed in the International Directory of Distinguished Leadership, Who's Who in the East and other similar publications and he has received awards from the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the American Society for Industrial Security, the American Police Hall of Fame, and the international Mercury Awards.
